Bid on four one-of-a-kind, artist-embellished jeans designed with meaningful messages of hope and solidarity. Every dollar raised helps fund our free, lifesaving services, including our 24/7 crisis hotline, court and legal advocacy, forensic exam accompaniments, counseling, and many additional essential services to survivors of sexual violence in San Bernardino and East Riverside Counties.

Winner Notification & Payment
The winning bidder will receive an email notification confirming they won the auction along with a link to complete their payment. Please submit payment as soon as possible to ensure the jeans are shipped promptly and arrive in time for Denim Day. The deadline to complete payment is Monday, April 20 at 10:00 a.m. PST.
Get ready to bid with a purpose! Each one-of-a-kind embellished denim jeans will open for bidding at $100. Participants may increase bids in the designated increments listed in our online shop. The highest bid at the close of the auction will win the item.

SAAM is acknowledged every April, to raise awareness about sexual violence, educate communities on prevention, and support survivors. This year we're kicking off SAAM's Day of Action (April 7th) with a Denim Auction.

Why Denim?
Since 1999, Peace Over Violence has led Denim Day, a powerful movement to support survivors and challenge harmful attitudes about sexual violence. This campaign began after a ruling by the Italian Supreme Court to overturn a rape conviction because the victim was wearing tight jeans. Justices stated that she must have helped the perpetrator remove them, thereby implying consent.
By wearing denim, we take a stand against victim-blaming and commit to fostering a culture of respect and support.
Denim Day will be observed on Wednesday April 29th this year.
